Recantation, Enchantment, designed by Greg Simanson first released in Oct, 1998 in the set Urza's Saga.
Recantation could be beneficial in a control deck that aims to disrupt the opponent's board state by bouncing multiple permanents back to their owner's hands. However, the high mana cost and the need to accumulate verse counters may make it less efficient compared to other cards like Cyclonic Rift, which can achieve a similar effect at a lower cost and without the need for additional setup. Therefore, Recantation may not see much play in competitive Magic: the Gathering decks.
