We can always expect greatness from Japan's marketing stunts, even more so when they come from McDonald's. There have been collabs between the famous fast-food brand and iconic shows such as Demon Slayer, Dragon Ball, Pokémon, Gundam, among many others. This time, however, McDonald's is going all out with its latest One Piece collab, featuring two new burgers and several promotions across the country.
This past Wednesday, McDonald's took to Twitter to announce the new partnership with Eiichiro Oda's iconic story:

In the picture, the two burgers released are showcased. The burgers are a variation of popular McDonald's creations, both in Japan and overseas: they are the Rice Chicken Tatsuta and the yuzu radish Rice Chicken Tatsuta. To complete the promotion, Chefs Sanji and Zeff present their new creations.
The original burger which these were inspired by is the Chicken Tatsuta, which has a chicken patty infused with ginger and soy sauce.
These new One Piece burgers also feature buns made with premium Niigata koshihikari rice, straw-hat shaped!
Other One Piece inspired products were also launched alongside the burgers, but only a handful are special enough to be promoted by the Baratie chefs and Luffy himself.
The collab even gave fruition to two special TV ads to promote the items; One shows the Straw Hat Crew tasting the new burgers together, with Luffy stealing one burger right out of Sanji's hand, and the other features One Piece's iconic opening with the burgers, and a cute McDonald's logo as well.
Fans and customers can also tweet a reply to the official Twitter account and win a special Mac card worth JPY 1,000 (7 USD).
The promotion will be available in Japan on April 19, 2023. Though we don't know yet when it will end, we do know these burgers will only be available at nighttime local time, after 5 PM.
