Marco Pigossi is a Brazilian actor whose career spans Globo telenovelas, Brazilian streaming drama and English-language film and television. Born in São Paulo in 1989, he became familiar to Brazilian audiences through a succession of television roles. In *Caras & Bocas* (2009), he played Cássio, a young man whose relationship with Léa was part of the novela’s family storylines. He followed that with appearances in *Ti Ti Ti* (2010) and *Fina Estampa* (2011). These productions placed him in a television tradition where characters develop over months of daily episodes rather than within a single film.
His first major leading role came in *Sangue Bom* (2013), in which he played Bento, a flower seller navigating romance and questions about his origins. In *Boogie Oogie* (2014), a novela set in the late 1970s, he played Rafael, whose life becomes entangled with those of Sandra and Vitória. Pigossi then portrayed Dante, a police officer, in *A Regra do Jogo* (2015). In *A Força do Querer* (2017), he played Zeca, a truck driver whose relationship with Ritinha leads to conflict after she leaves him for Ruy. Each role gave him a different place in Globo’s ensemble-driven storytelling.
Pigossi reached an international Netflix audience as Eric in *Invisible City* (*Cidade Invisível*), which premiered in 2021. Eric is an environmental police officer investigating a death that leads him toward beings from Brazilian folklore. The series brings figures such as the Curupira and Cuca into a contemporary crime story. Pigossi returned for its second season in 2023. The role was distinct from his novela work: instead of a long-running daily broadcast, he led a shorter fantasy series whose mysteries unfolded across a season.
His English-language work includes *Gen V* (2023), the university-set spin-off of *The Boys*. Pigossi played Dr. Edison Cardosa, a scientist connected to the clandestine facility known as the Woods. He also starred in the 2024 film *High Tide*, directed by Marco Calvani. Pigossi plays Lourenço, a Brazilian man in Provincetown, Massachusetts, facing an uncertain immigration status and the aftermath of a breakup. That performance puts a migrant’s precarious circumstances at the center of an intimate story, far from the supernatural investigation of *Invisible City* or the sprawling plots of his Globo years. Together, these parts show the specific path of Pigossi’s career: from Brazilian serial television to projects made for audiences beyond Brazil, while continuing to play Brazilian characters whose backgrounds matter to the story.
