U2 has been chosen to perform at halftime of the Los Angeles Rams–Green Bay Packers game on November 25. The game will be played at SoFi Stadium in the Los Angeles area and streamed on Netflix the night before Thanksgiving in the United States.

The NFL is calling the performance the start of a new holiday tradition. The league and Netflix have staged halftime shows at Christmas games before, but this will be their first Thanksgiving Eve performance. Jesse Collins Entertainment will produce U2’s show for the two companies.

The band has played an NFL halftime show before, performing at the Super Bowl in February 2002. This appearance will come shortly after the release of Carnaval De Luz, the group’s first album of new music in nine years. The Rams–Packers game is scheduled to kick off at 5 p.m. on the U.S. West Coast, or 8 p.m. on the East Coast.

In a statement, Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos linked the choice of U2 to the band’s history of playing major stadiums. The performance also expands the music programming Netflix and the NFL have brought to games outside the Super Bowl.

At Christmas 2025, the halftime show at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis featured Snoop Dogg, Lainey Wilson, Huntr/X and Andrea Bocelli. The year before, Beyoncé headlined the Christmas performance dubbed “Beyoncé Bowl”. No plans for a Christmas show in 2026 have been announced.
