Spider-Man: Brand New Day has surpassed Avengers: Endgame to become the highest-grossing live-action film of all time in Brazil. The film has drawn more than 15 million moviegoers and grossed over R$ 344 million in the country, surpassing the more than R$ 338 million earned by the Marvel film in 2019.

The result also makes Spider-Man: Brand New Day Sony Pictures' highest-grossing film in Brazil. In the overall ranking, which includes animated films, Inside Out 2 remains in first place, with R$ 400 million in box office returns.

The Tom Holland-led sequel has also posted strong numbers outside Brazil. In the United States, the film has earned US$ 858.4 million, overtaking Avengers: Endgame's US$ 858.3 million domestic total. It now ranks second among the highest-grossing films of all time in the country, behind Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which earned US$ 936.6 million.

Internationally, Spider-Man: Brand New Day has grossed US$ 1.365 billion across 67 territories. Its worldwide total has reached US$ 2.2 billion, placing it sixth among the highest-grossing films in cinema history. The ranking is led by Avatar, followed by Avengers: Endgame, Avatar: The Way of Water, Ne Zha 2: The Rebirth of the Soul and Titanic.

The film has also become Sony Pictures' highest-grossing release in 56 territories. Its five largest international markets are China, the United Kingdom, Mexico, France and Brazil.

Four years after the events of No Way Home, Peter Parker lives alone, having voluntarily erased himself from the memories of those he loves. While fighting crime full time, he faces a dangerous physical transformation and a threat connected to a series of mysterious crimes.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is now playing in Brazilian theaters.
