The third season of Maxton Hall – The World Between Us premieres on December 9 on Prime Video, bringing the German series based on Mona Kasten’s book trilogy to a close.

Harriet Herbig-Matten returns as Ruby, while Damian Hardung reprises his role as James. Prime Video has also released a promotional poster for the final season.

The story begins with a crisis that puts Ruby’s future at risk. She has been suspended from the elite Maxton Hall school, and the evidence points to James as being responsible for her expulsion. The situation threatens her dream of studying at the University of Oxford and puts their relationship to the test.

The third season adapts the trilogy’s third book, Save Us, published by LYX. UFA Fiction, a Fremantle company, remains in charge of production, with Martin Schreier returning as director.

Markus Brunnemann and Ceylan Yildirim serve as executive producers. Yildirim also wrote the season alongside Sandra Stöckmann, Marlene Melchior, Catharina Junk and Aylin Kockler.

The returning cast includes Sonja Weißer as Lydia, Eidin Jalali as Graham, Ben Felipe as Cyril, Fedja van Huêt as Mortimer and Runa Greiner as Ember. Justus Riesner, Govinda Gabriel, Andrea Guo, Frederic Balonier, Eli Riccardi and Dagny Dewath also return as Alistair, Kesh, Lin, Kieran, Elaine and Ophelia, respectively.

Since its premiere, Maxton Hall has set viewership records on Prime Video and prompted fans to visit its filming locations. The series also became one of the platform’s first major young adult productions, as Prime Video began investing in original content aimed at younger audiences.

The final season arrives on the platform on December 9.
