Paramount has released the first official trailer for Avatar: Seven Havens, a new animated series introducing Pavi, the Avatar who succeeds Korra. The series will premiere globally on October 9.The story follows Pavi, a young earthbender who discovers she is the next Avatar in a world ravaged by a major cataclysm. Rather than being welcomed as a potential savior, humanity sees her as responsible for the world’s destruction.Pavi will be the first new Avatar outside the franchise’s novels since The Legend of Korra. The premise also echoes the mistrust Aang faced after his disappearance, when the Hundred Year War threw the world out of balance.Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, the creators of the original animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender, serve as the creators and writers of Avatar: Seven Havens. Their involvement puts the new series directly in the hands of the figures who built the foundation of the animated universe.The voice cast includes Saheli Khan as Pavi, Aishu Devan as Nisha, Akshay Khanna as Karthik and Major Curda as Jae. Sakina Jaffrey voices Agam, Darren Barnet plays Daemin, Dianne Doan portrays Zi, and Dee Bradley Baker voices Geet and Ruhi.The premiere will release three episodes at once. The series will then release three episodes per week, with episodes 10 through 13 concluding the first season on October 30.
