Park Hyung-sik

Park Hyung-sik, born November 16, 1991, is a South Korean singer and actor who first debuted as a member of the nine-member idol group ZE:A in 2010. Born in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, he subsequently expanded from group performances into television drama and film. ZE:A later promoted in Japan, and Park also participated in the unit ZE:A Five. His public profile rose through MBC's military-themed variety program Real Men in 2013, an appearance that introduced his onscreen personality beyond music. Rather than abandoning his musical background, he has continued to be identified with ZE:A while building a long-running acting career in Korea.

His first notable dramatic roles came in 2013, when he played the younger Park Sun-woo in tvN's time-slip series Nine and high-school student Jo Myung-soo in SBS's The Heirs. In 2015's High Society, he portrayed chaebol heir Yoo Chang-soo, whose romance with a supermarket employee drives a central class conflict. He then took the historical role of King Jinheung, initially concealed as the young warrior Sammaekjong, in Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth. The 2017 romantic comedy Strong Woman Do Bong-soon made him the eccentric gaming-company chief executive An Min-hyuk, a character protected by the supernaturally strong Do Bong-soon.

Park continued to take lead parts in adaptations and original series. In the Korean version of Suits (2018), he played Go Yeon-woo, a gifted but unlicensed legal associate recruited by elite lawyer Choi Kang-seok. After enlisting for mandatory military service on June 10, 2019, he served as a military police officer and was discharged on January 4, 2021. His first project after discharge was tvN's 2021 thriller Happiness, in which he played detective Jung Yi-hyun opposite Han Hyo-joo's Yoon Sae-bom amid an outbreak that turns an apartment complex into a quarantine zone. In 2022's Soundtrack #1, he starred as photographer Han Sun-woo, who has quietly loved lyricist Eun-soo for years.

His later television work includes Our Blooming Youth (2023), a historical mystery in which he plays Crown Prince Lee Hwan, troubled by a purported curse and linked to a serial murder investigation. In Doctor Slump (2024), he reunited with Park Shin-hye as Yeo Jeong-woo, a celebrated plastic surgeon whose career collapses after a medical accident. The series follows his encounter with former rival Nam Ha-neul while both confront burnout and depression. Across these projects, Park has moved between courtly historical drama, romance, legal stories, thrillers, and workplace comedy on Korean television.
