Ahn Bo-hyun (born May 16, 1988) is a South Korean actor and former model from Busan. Before acting, he attended Busan Sports High School and trained as a boxer; he has said he competed in amateur events. His modeling work preceded his screen career, and he made his acting debut in the 2014 KBS2 drama Golden Cross. Early television appearances included Descendants of the Sun (2016), where he played Army Sergeant Im Gwang-nam, and later parts in dramas such as Dokgo Rewind and Her Private Life. These credits established him before a much more visible antagonist role arrived in 2020.
In 2020, Ahn played Jang Geun-won, the volatile elder son of food-company chairman Jang Dae-hee, in JTBC's Itaewon Class. The series, adapted from Jo Gwang-jin's webtoon, follows Park Sae-ro-yi's conflict with the Jangga Group; Geun-won's drunken hit-and-run crime and his rivalry with Sae-ro-yi make him a central adversary. Ahn then took a markedly different lead part in tvN's 2020 time-slip thriller Kairos, as Seo Do-kyun, a colleague whose actions are entwined with the show's two-month communication premise. The role placed him inside a plot driven by messages exchanged across a one-month gap in 2020, rather than a conventional linear investigation.
Ahn starred as game developer Goo Woong in Yumi's Cells (2021), tvN's live-action adaptation of Lee Dong-geon's webtoon. The drama visualizes its characters' emotions through animated “cells,” and its first season traces Yumi and Woong's relationship before their separation; Ahn returned for the start of season two in 2022. Also in 2021, he appeared in Netflix's My Name as Jeon Pil-do, a detective investigating the drug organization sought by Yoon Ji-woo. In the series, Ji-woo, played by Han So-hee, enters the police force while concealing her connection to crime boss Choi Mu-jin. Ahn's character eventually becomes her partner and protector.
In 2022, he headlined Military Prosecutor Doberman as Do Bae-man, a prosecutor who initially regards military law as a route to money and success. Working with Cha Woo-in, played by Jo Bo-ah, he confronts abuse of power within the armed forces. In 2023's See You in My 19th Life, Ahn played Moon Seo-ha, an MI Group executive carrying trauma connected to a childhood car accident; the fantasy romance reunites him with Ban Ji-eum, who remembers her past lives. He led SBS's 2024 action-comedy Flex x Cop as Jin Yi-soo, a chaebol heir who becomes a detective and uses his resources.
