Leandro Hassum is a Brazilian comedian and actor whose screen career includes television sketch comedy, film franchises, and streaming releases. He became especially associated with Brazilian television through *Zorra Total*, a long-running comedy program broadcast by TV Globo. Another defining television project was *Os Caras de Pau*, in which he worked alongside fellow comedian Marcius Melhem. The partnership also reached cinemas with *Os Caras de Pau em O Misterioso Roubo do Anel*, a feature built around the duo. These credits place his work in a recognizably Brazilian tradition of sketch characters moving between popular television and mainstream commercial film comedy.

A major breakthrough at the box office came with *Até que a Sorte nos Separe* (2012), in which Hassum plays Tino, a man who wins the lottery and then squanders his fortune. The film's financial disaster gives its comedy a concrete premise: sudden wealth does not equip Tino to manage money. Hassum returned as Tino in *Até que a Sorte nos Separe 2*, released in 2013, and *Até que a Sorte nos Separe 3: A Falência Final*, released in 2015. The three films made the lottery winner one of his most recognizable recurring cinema roles in Brazil during that decade.

In the 2014 film *O Candidato Honesto*, Hassum played João Ernesto Praxedes, a politician whose campaign is disrupted when he becomes incapable of lying. That premise makes the character's usual political evasions impossible and turns an election campaign into the source of the jokes. Hassum reprised the role in *O Candidato Honesto 2*, released in 2018. Unlike Tino's problems with money, João Ernesto's predicament centers on the collision between political ambition and involuntary honesty. The two series show how his starring roles often begin with a single disruptive twist and follow its increasingly awkward consequences for everyone involved in the story.

His Netflix film *Tudo Bem no Natal que Vem* (2020), released internationally as *Just Another Christmas*, follows Jorge, played by Hassum. Jorge wakes up on successive Christmases without remembering the intervening years, leaving him to confront changes in his family that he did not experience firsthand. A later Netflix comedy, *Vizinhos* (2022), known internationally as *Fenced In*, casts him as Walter, who moves in search of peace and encounters an exceptionally noisy neighbor. Both films draw humor from a specific frustration: Jorge loses ordinary time with loved ones, while Walter cannot find the quiet he sought at home for himself.
