Selma Blair, 54, was arrested following an incident on a Delta Air Lines flight from Los Angeles to New York on Sunday, October 11, 2026. Authorities said the actress allegedly assaulted crew members, injuring two people. She was taken into custody after the plane landed at John F. Kennedy International Airport and taken to a hospital for evaluation.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey Police Department confirmed it had received a report of a passenger behaving in a physically aggressive manner. Officers identified Blair when they arrived at the aircraft and arrested her.

Investigators are looking into allegations that she tried to open a door during the flight, punched one female crew member and bit another. The alleged assaults occurred as the crew tried to bring the situation under control. One of the women required hospital treatment; the other also reported injuries.

The FBI is now involved in the case, with federal authorities conducting a separate investigation into the events on board. Blair also faces charges related to alleged assaults on a police officer and a nurse at the hospital.

The actress's team attributed the episode to a medical emergency.

A representative said Blair received immediate medical attention after landing and is in stable condition, but did not specify the nature of the emergency. The actress disclosed her multiple sclerosis diagnosis in 2018. There has been no public medical confirmation that the condition caused the incident.

Known for Cruel Intentions, Legally Blonde and Hellboy, Blair was previously taken off a plane on a stretcher in June 2016 after behaving erratically on a flight from Cancún to Los Angeles.

In a statement about the latest incident, Delta reiterated its zero-tolerance policy for violent or illegal behavior and said the safety of passengers and employees is its priority.
