Sony has set holiday-season 2027 release dates for 24 Jump Street and Treasure Island, Ridley Scott's remake starring Hugh Jackman. Treasure Island will be the first to reach theaters, opening on November 11, 2027. 24 Jump Street follows on December 10 that year.The comedy will be the third film in the franchise, with Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum and Ice Cube in talks to return. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse's Rodney Rothman will direct from a screenplay he is co-writing with Hill and Meghan Malloy.Phil Lord and Chris Miller, who directed 21 Jump Street and 22 Jump Street, return as producers. Neal H. Moritz, Tatum and Reid Carolin are also producing through Free Association. Hill and Matt Dines are producing under the Strong Baby banner.Treasure Island brings Robert Louis Stevenson's adventure classic to the big screen. Ridley Scott will direct, while Emmy winner Jack Thorne, known for Adolescence, is writing the screenplay. Scott will also produce alongside Michael Pruss through Scott Free, with Thorne serving as executive producer.Sony has also set several other dates for 2027. The thriller The Surgeon, starring Michele Yeoh as a skilled doctor who is kidnapped and forced to operate on a mysterious patient, arrives on April 2. The coming-of-age comedy Narcs, featuring Mason Thames, opens on August 20. Plot details remain under wraps, and John Phillips will make his feature directorial debut.Two releases have also moved on the calendar. Takashi Yamazaki's Grandgear has shifted from February 18 to January 14, 2028. Based on the Helldivers game series, the film has moved from November 10, 2027, and is now scheduled for June 9, 2028.
