Earlier this month, the Writers Guild of America announced they would be going on strike due to lasting challenges regarding fair pay and streaming services. Overall, the consensus seems to have been reached over the fact that streaming services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu and many others are not only diluting the paychecks of writers who work on all the TV shows and Movies released on those platforms, but the experience of working as a writer has lost much of its rich features since streaming content was created.

This isn't the first time as it has happened, as every time technology changes, writers have gone on strike to make sure they're fairly compensated for their work. With A.I. moving forward, we could be seeing many more strikes in the next few years.
The consequences of the strike affect many shows in production and even some that are being aired currently. Shows such as Saturday Night Live and others who rely on current events might face more "dead air" than "on-demand" shows. But nonetheless, a few shows which were currently being produced and written already announced they would be stopping indefinitely, until the strike ended.
Some of the shows which stopped production include: Big Mouth, Cobra Kai, Good Omens, House of the Dragon, Rings of Power, and, unfortunately, Stranger Things.
This past weekend, Stranger Things writers went to Twitter to announce they would be stopping as well:
Stranger Things' Season 5 will be the final season of the show, and has been very hyped up on social media as sneak peaks, characters' fates and many more details were teased. The good writing of Stranger Things has been one of the key standout features of the show, so, overall, fans agree they would rather wait for the strike to end when a fair deal is reached than see a bad final season written by A.I.
The Final Season was supposed to air in 2024.
