The thriller A Última Casa is now available on Netflix. During the film’s promotional campaign, Wagner Moura discussed the production and his partnership with Greta Lee, who plays Anne opposite the actor, who portrays Jason.

Building chemistry between the lead characters also involved their relationship with the younger members of the cast. Moura explained that he and Greta Lee took on different roles within the family dynamic while trying to keep the children safe during filming.

Greta Lee described working with Wagner Moura as a careful process of preparing to portray Anne and Jason’s marriage. According to the actress, they wanted to show an authentic relationship and a good marriage—an element that sets the couple apart from the other people around them.

The action scenes required specific preparation. Wagner Moura called the experience “the most physically demanding thing I’ve ever done in my life.” The actor said the cast learned how to hold their breath, took diving lessons and worked with survival experts.

“It was difficult, man. It was difficult, but we prepared for it. We learned how to hold our breath, took those diving lessons and worked with survival experts.”

Even with the preparation, Moura said none of the actors were ready for the level of difficulty described in the script.

In the story, a family becomes trapped inside their own home as essential supplies begin to run out. To survive, they must ration their provisions, join forces and confront a mysterious, deadly threat that prevents them from leaving the property.

Louis Leterrier, director of Now You See Me, helms the film from a screenplay by Matthew Robinson, who wrote Love and Monsters and Dora and the Lost City of Gold. Riley Chung, Emma Ho, Noah Alexander Sosnowski and Gabriel Barbosa also join the cast.
