Though Ghost Rider isn't a character usually thought of when the matter is speedsters like the Flash and Quicksilver, don't be mistaken: his hellish rides throughout comic history have been legendary in terms of speed.

In his car, or motorcycle, Ghost Rider's speed is reported to be capable of "outrunning anything in any known universe" . This means potentially this character could beat all the known speedsters plus even more fast characters in the comics.

The most well-known riders in the comics, Johnny Blaze and Danny Ketch, rode the Hell Cycle, which was fueled by hellfire itself, through the powers of Mephisto. This means we're already treading on unknown ground trying to pinpoint the top speed of Ghost Rider.

In the latest version of Ghost Rider, Roberto “Robbie” Reyes, a high school student who is a mechanic in his spare time and takes part in street races to complement his income, is made to carry the mantle after being killed by mercenaries. He doesn't ride the Hell Cycle, but rather, the Hell Charger, a 1969 Dodge Charger from hell, also powered by hell fire.

In the comics, Deathlok tells Robbie that he is one of the six Omni-Avengers, which means he is one of the strongest Avenger members across the Multiverse. Deathlok was the one who said the hellish ride was capable of outrunning anything in any known universe.

But, if we are to consider an actual number for this math, we must consider the past events that approximated Ghost Rider's speed in the comics, such as the time he went after Thor as he was being propelled by Mjölnir. As Mjölnir is capable of travelling equal to the speed of sound, which is around 767 miles per hour.

If Ghost Rider's speed tops or averages around the speed of sound, this means the only thing holding him back against other speedsters are fantastical powers, such as DC 's The Flash's Speed Force, which allows him to time travel.

Marvel's Quicksilver, in later versions, was capable of achieving Mach 10, which is ten times the speed of sound, and later went on to acquire powers of time-travel, just like his DC counterpart.

Ghost Rider would probably struggle against time-travel, but once again, we refer back to the quote "capable of outrunning anything in any known universe.". Without time-travel, there's a likely possibility Ghost Rider wins those.

Now, on to a more fearsome opponent, Silver Surfer is reported to travel faster than the speed of light, regardless of physics.

If that wasn't enough, Silver Surfer has been shown to use his speed to travel a light-year to prevent Thanos from beating up Captain America, and to have conducted a search across the planet before Doctor Strange was able to finish his sentence.

This could potentially be a win for Silver Surfer, instead of Ghost Rider.

That is, before the new version of this character in the comics, Robbie, gets a much-needed update to his powers as his story progresses along.
