About Excavating Anurid

Excavating Anurid, Creature — frog beast, designed by Joe Slucher first released in Jun, 2019 in the set Modern Horizons and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.

Excavating Anurid would fit well in a graveyard-focused green deck that aims to fill the graveyard quickly to enable its Threshold ability. While the card draw from sacrificing a land can be beneficial, the condition of having seven or more cards in the graveyard for the bonus can be a bit slow to achieve. There are potentially better cards for similar effects, such as Satyr Wayfinder or Grisly Salvage, which can help fill the graveyard more efficiently and consistently. Overall, Excavating Anurid could see play in a casual or thematic deck, but may not be a top choice for competitive play due to its somewhat slow and conditional nature.

Rules

06/14/19

While resolving Excavating Anurid’s triggered ability, you can’t sacrifice multiple lands to draw multiple cards.
