Letícia Colin is a Brazilian actress known for playing Rosa in the television series *Segundo Sol* and the title role in *Todas as Flores*.

Edit reference

Letícia Colin is a Brazilian actress whose television roles include a princess at the center of Brazil’s independence, a woman caught in a family deception, and a daughter plotting against her blind sister. Her work spans historical drama, contemporary telenovelas, streaming series and film.

In the 2017 telenovela *Novo Mundo*, Colin played Maria Leopoldina of Austria, who married Dom Pedro and became Brazil’s first empress. The story places their relationship against the political upheaval leading to Brazilian independence. It gave Colin a role based on a specific historical figure rather than a fictional member of the imperial court.

The following year, she played Rosa in *Segundo Sol*, a telenovela set largely in Salvador. Rosa becomes involved with two young men, Ícaro and Valentim, whose connections to the story’s central family make their relationships more complicated than a conventional love triangle. In the film *Entre Irmãs*, released in 2017, Colin played Luzia opposite Marjorie Estiano as her sister Emília. Set in northeastern Brazil in the 1930s, the film follows the sisters after their lives diverge: Emília enters a wealthy household, while Luzia joins a band of *cangaceiros*, the armed outlaws of Brazil’s backlands.

Colin took another prominent telenovela role in *Um Lugar ao Sol*, which premiered in 2021. She played Bárbara, the daughter of businessman Santiago and the wife of Renato. Bárbara does not know that the man living as Renato is actually his twin brother Christian, who assumed his identity after Renato’s death. That concealed identity drives much of the plot and shapes Bárbara’s marriage.

In the Globoplay drama *Todas as Flores*, released across 2022 and 2023, Colin played Vanessa. The character and her mother, Zoé, played by Regina Casé, scheme against Vanessa’s blind half-sister Maíra, played by Sophie Charlotte. Vanessa’s actions make her one of the series’ principal antagonists, rather than a bystander to the conflict between Maíra and Zoé. Colin received a 2023 International Emmy nomination for Best Performance by an Actress for the role.

These productions show the range of characters attached to Colin’s name: Leopoldina in a dramatization of imperial history, Luzia in a story about the *cangaço*, Bárbara inside an identity-swap plot, and Vanessa in a contemporary family thriller. Each belongs to a distinct Brazilian setting and story, from the nineteenth-century court to the northeastern backlands and the fictional worlds of modern television.
