This card could be useful in a control deck that focuses on incremental life gain and card advantage. However, there are better options available such as Lightning Bolt or Fatal Push for more efficient removal or card advantage spells like Sign in Blood. Touch of Death may not see much play in competitive decks due to its limited impact compared to other cards in the format.
