A deck that focuses on generating a lot of energy counters would benefit from using Territorial Gorger due to its ability to grow stronger whenever energy counters are gained. However, while Territorial Gorger can be powerful in the right deck, there are likely better cards that offer more consistent effectiveness for the mana cost. Decks with more reliable ways to boost their creatures or generate advantage might opt for alternative options, making Territorial Gorger a potential but not essential inclusion that may not see widespread play in competitive settings.
