The Temple of Mystery would benefit a deck that focuses on controlling the game through card selection and mana fixing, such as a Simic (Green-Blue) control or ramp deck. While the scry ability can help set up future draws, there are potentially better lands like Breeding Pool or Hinterland Harbor that provide untapped dual-color mana. However, Temple of Mystery could still see play in decks looking for additional scry effects or in budget builds where the cost of better lands is prohibitive.

When you scry, you may put all the cards you look at back on top of your library, you may put all of those cards on the bottom of your library, or you may put some of those cards on top and the rest of them on the bottom.
