Tamanoa, Creature — spirit, designed by rk post first released in Jul, 2006 in the set Coldsnap.
Tamanoa would be a great addition to a deck focused on burn spells or noncreature sources that deal damage, such as Lightning Bolt or Chain Lightning, in a red-green-white color combination. While Tamanoa's ability to gain life from noncreature sources can be powerful in certain situations, it may not always be the most efficient choice compared to other cards like Courser of Kruphix or Thragtusk, which provide additional value beyond just life gain. Ultimately, whether Tamanoa sees play would depend on the specific strategy and synergies of the deck it's included in.

A noncreature source is a source that doesn’t have the type creature. If a creature card that’s not on the battlefield deals damage (for example, a cycled Gempalm Incinerator), Tamanoa’s ability won’t trigger.
