Spirit Shackle, Enchantment — aura, designed by Edward P. Beard, Jr. first released in Jun, 1994 in the set Legends and was printed exactly in 5 different ways.
Spirit Shackle could be useful in a control deck that aims to slow down aggressive strategies by weakening creatures and disrupting combat. However, there are stronger options like Dead Weight or Fatal Push that provide more immediate and impactful removal. Spirit Shackle may not see much play in competitive decks due to its high cost and limited effect compared to other removal options available in the format.

Spirit Shackle’s ability triggers only when the enchanted creature changes from untapped to tapped. If Spirit Shackle enters the battlefield attached to an already tapped creature, it won’t do anything (until that creature untaps and becomes tapped again, that is).
