Spirit Ryu would be a great addition to a Dragon-based deck that focuses on quickly gaining advantage in battle situations. While it can provide a temporary boost in ATK/DEF by discarding a Dragon monster, there are potentially better cards like Red-Eyes Black Dragon or Blue-Eyes White Dragon that offer more consistent power and synergy within the deck. However, Spirit Ryu could still see play in a deck that prioritizes quick and impactful plays during the Battle Phase.
