Scepter of Empires, Artifact, designed by John Avon first released in Jul, 2011 in the set Magic 2012.
A deck that focuses on artifacts and controlling the board would benefit from including Scepter of Empires, especially if it can also include Crown of Empires and Throne of Empires to maximize its damage potential. While Scepter of Empires can be a fun addition to a thematic artifact deck, there are likely more efficient cards available for competitive play, such as direct damage spells or creatures with more impactful abilities. However, for a casual or themed deck, Scepter of Empires could definitely see play and add an interesting dynamic to gameplay.
