Restrain, Instant, designed by Dave Dorman first released in May, 2020 in the set Invasion.
A deck that focuses on controlling the battlefield and drawing cards would benefit from including Restrain in its strategy, especially in a white-based control deck. While Restrain is a decent card for its mana cost, there are better options available such as Path to Exile or Swords to Plowshares which offer more versatile removal. Restrain could see play in a budget or theme deck, but competitive decks may opt for more efficient removal spells.
