About Repel
Repel, Instant, designed by Terese Nielsen first released in Oct, 2001 in the set Odyssey and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
A control deck would benefit from using Repel in Magic: the Gathering, as it provides a temporary solution to dealing with a threatening creature by putting it back on top of the opponent's library. However, there are better cards with similar effects such as Unsummon or Vapor Snag, which can also target non-creature permanents or have additional benefits like dealing damage. While Repel may have situational uses, it may not be the most optimal choice for competitive play compared to other options available.
