Kaervek's Hex, Sorcery, designed by Ian Miller first released in Oct, 1996 in the set Mirage.
A deck that focuses on controlling the board with removal spells and disrupting the opponent's creatures would benefit from including Kaervek's Hex, especially if it is facing a lot of green creature-heavy decks. While Kaervek's Hex can be situationally powerful, there are more versatile and efficient removal spells available in Magic: the Gathering, such as Damnation or Toxic Deluge, that might be better options in most scenarios. Overall, Kaervek's Hex could see play in specific metagames where its damage distribution is particularly effective, but it may not be a staple card in most decks.
