Infected Vermin, Creature — rat, designed by Anthony S. Waters first released in Oct, 2001 in the set Odyssey.
Infected Vermin would fit well in a black control or discard deck that aims to fill the graveyard quickly while managing the board state, as its damage ability can help clear out weaker creatures and chip away at opponents' life totals. A deck that focuses on self-mill or card draw, such as a Dredge or Reanimator strategy, could leverage its Threshold ability effectively. However, there are arguably better options for similar effects, such as Blasphemous Act, which can deal more damage to all creatures for a similar mana cost in the right circumstances, or Toxic Deluge, which allows for more control over the board. While Infected Vermin has its niche, its potential to see play may be limited compared to these more powerful alternatives.
