Havengul Runebinder, Creature — human wizard, designed by Bud Cook first released in Feb, 2012 in the set Dark Ascension and was printed exactly in 4 different ways. It see play in 1 formats: Commander.
This Havengul Runebinder card would be beneficial in a blue-black Zombie tribal deck in Magic: the Gathering, as it provides a way to generate Zombie tokens and buff existing ones. While it offers value in such a themed deck, there are potentially better cards like Diregraf Colossus or Cemetery Reaper that have more immediate impact or synergy with the tribe. However, Havengul Runebinder could still see play in casual or budget Zombie decks looking to utilize its graveyard recursion ability and token generation.

Although players may respond to the activated ability, they can’t respond to the paying of its costs. The creature card will already be exiled by the time any player could respond.
