About Expanding Ooze

Expanding Ooze, Creature — ooze, designed by Randy Gallegos first released in May, 2024 in the set Modern Horizons 3.

Expanding Ooze would be a great addition to a Golgari midrange deck in Magic: the Gathering, as it provides a solid body that can grow over time and also supports other creatures by granting them additional +1/+1 counters. However, for a more competitive deck, cards like Winding Constrictor or Hardened Scales might be better choices due to their ability to double the number of counters placed on creatures, making them more impactful in the long run. Expanding Ooze could still see play in more casual or thematic decks focused on +1/+1 counters.
