About Declare Dominance

Declare Dominance, Sorcery, designed by Simon Dominic first released in Jul, 2018 in the set Core Set 2019 and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.

The Declare Dominance card would benefit a deck that focuses on aggressive creature strategies, such as a green stompy deck or a token swarm deck, as it can help push through damage by forcing all creatures to block the target creature. However, there are better cards for similar effects, such as Overrun or Craterhoof Behemoth, which provide more impactful and lasting buffs to all creatures. Declare Dominance could see situational play in specific decks but may not be a top choice for competitive play due to its limitations compared to other options.

Rules

07/13/18

If a creature the defending player controls can’t block the target creature for any reason (such as being tapped), then it doesn’t block that creature. If there’s a cost associated with having a creature block the attacking creature, the defending player isn’t forced to pay that cost, so it doesn’t have to block in that case either.
