About Cutthroat il-Dal

Cutthroat il-Dal, Creature — human rogue, designed by Vance Kovacs first released in May, 2007 in the set Future Sight and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.

Cutthroat il-Dal would be beneficial in a fast and aggressive deck that aims to empty its hand quickly to activate its shadow ability. However, there are better options like Carnophage or Sarcomancy that offer more consistent aggression without the reliance on having an empty hand. Cutthroat il-Dal could see play in specific decks that can effectively leverage its Hellbent ability, but overall, there are more reliable choices available for similar strategies in Magic: the Gathering.

Rules

03/19/21

Multiple instances of shadow on the same creature are redundant.

03/19/21

Once a creature has been blocked, that creature remains blocked and will deal and be dealt combat damage even if it gains or loses shadow or if the blocking creature gains or loses shadow.
