Crystal Rod, Artifact, designed by Amy Weber first released in May, 2020 in the set Limited Edition Alpha and was printed exactly in 18 different ways.
This Crystal Rod card would be beneficial in a control deck that heavily relies on blue spells, as it provides a consistent source of life gain. However, there are better options available such as Aetherflux Reservoir, which offers a more impactful life gain effect and can also be used as a win condition. While Crystal Rod can be a decent inclusion in certain decks, it may not see widespread play due to the availability of more powerful alternatives.
