About Conjured Currency

Conjured Currency, Enchantment, designed by Steve Argyle first released in Oct, 2012 in the set Return to Ravnica.

A deck focused on controlling the battlefield and manipulating opponents' resources would benefit from including Conjured Currency. This card can disrupt your opponent's strategy by allowing you to exchange control of a powerful permanent they have with Conjured Currency, potentially turning the tide of the game in your favor. While there may be more efficient cards for achieving similar effects, the unique and unpredictable nature of Conjured Currency could make it a fun and interesting addition to certain decks, especially those looking to play mind games with opponents.

Rules

10/01/12

The only legal target for Conjured Currency’s ability is a permanent both owned and controlled by another player, although it doesn’t have to be the same player. For example, a permanent owned by an opponent but controlled by your teammate (or another opponent) could be chosen as the target.

10/01/12

You don’t necessarily have to control Conjured Currency when its ability resolves in order for the exchange to happen. If another player has gained control of Conjured Currency while the ability is on the stack, and a third player controls the target (and you don’t own it), you may choose to have those two players exchange control of the relevant permanents.
