About Call of the Full Moon

Call of the Full Moon, Enchantment — aura, designed by Nils Hamm first released in Jul, 2015 in the set Magic Origins.

A deck that aims to be aggressive and cast multiple spells in a turn, such as a red aggro deck in Magic: The Gathering, would benefit from using Call of the Full Moon as it provides a significant power boost to the enchanted creature with trample. However, there are better options like Rancor, which provides similar benefits without the drawback of sacrificing the enchantment, making it a more consistent choice for decks looking to maintain board presence. Call of the Full Moon could see play in specific aggressive decks that can reliably trigger its sacrifice condition while capitalizing on its powerful buff.

Rules

06/22/15

Call of the Full Moon’s last ability will look at the entire previous turn, even if Call of the Moon wasn’t on the battlefield for some or all of that turn. For example, if you cast Call of the Full Moon and another spell on the same turn, you’ll have to sacrifice Call of the Full Moon at the beginning of the upkeep of the following turn.
