Border Guard, Creature — human soldier, designed by Kev Walker first released in May, 1997 in the set Portal and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
The Border Guard card can be useful in a mono-white aggressive deck as a two-drop creature with the potential to provide early board presence and evasion. However, there are stronger alternatives such as Adanto Vanguard which offers more versatility and resilience. While Border Guard may find a niche in budget decks or limited environments, it is unlikely to see significant play in competitive formats where more impactful options exist.
