Juliano Floss will make his acting debut in “Paraíso Perdido,” Globoplay’s next original soap opera. The casting comes after the influencer gained prominence on “BBB 26” and has drawn criticism on social media over his lack of acting experience.

Sérgio Goldenberg, the show’s writer, defended Juliano’s casting. According to him, the influencer auditioned before joining the cast and stood out during the process.

“Well, we... we're a group, you know, that watches and, anyway, talks about the audition, and he did very well from the start, you know? He really has charisma, has a... I think his chemistry with the character was immediate, so...”

- Sérgio Goldenberg

In the soap opera, Juliano will play Heitor Júnior, a sensitive and romantic 24-year-old. The character is the son of Werneck, played by Alexandre Nero, and Lígia, played by Maeve Jinkings.

Heitor’s relationship with his father will be marked by conflict. Werneck will be portrayed as a rigid, sexist man, while his son develops a desire for revenge against him. The family dynamic is expected to play a central role in Heitor’s storyline.

The role marks Juliano Floss’s first experience in a soap opera. Sérgio Goldenberg’s defense centers on his performance in auditions and the charisma the writer saw in the influencer’s connection with the character.

“Paraíso Perdido” is scheduled to premiere on Globoplay in 2027. The production has not yet announced a specific release date.
