Netflix is preparing The One About Matthew Perry, a three-part documentary series about the life and career of the actor best known worldwide for playing Chandler Bing on Friends. The production will feature interviews with family members and friends, exploring different facets of Perry's life.

The series is set to premiere on October 27, exactly three years after the actor's death. Among those interviewed is Mia Perry Bowick, Matthew Perry's sister, who spoke about the time she needed before revisiting memories of her brother.

"It took me time to feel ready to share these memories and what it was like to love Matthew through all the complexity of his life," Mia Perry Bowick said.

Matthew Perry was found dead in the hot tub at his home in October 2023. The coroner's report determined that he died from the acute effects of ketamine. Drowning, coronary artery disease and the effects of buprenorphine were also considered contributing factors in the tragedy.

The case led to the convictions of people involved in supplying the substance to the actor. Jasveen Sangha, known as the "ketamine queen," was sentenced to 15 years in prison. Kenneth Iwamasa, Perry's personal assistant, was sentenced to three years and five months for his involvement in the case.

Through accounts from those close to him, The One About Matthew Perry is expected to explore both the actor's career and the different experiences he went through throughout his life. The documentary series arrives on Netflix on October 27.
