War Oracle, Creature — human cleric, designed by Steve Prescott first released in Jul, 2015 in the set Magic Origins and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
The War Oracle card could be useful in a White Weenie or Aggro deck that focuses on gaining life and pressuring opponents with early aggression. While the lifelink ability and renown trigger provide value, there are stronger alternatives like Serra Ascendant for lifelink or other cards with more impactful abilities for the same mana cost, making War Oracle potentially less optimal unless specifically synergizing with the deck's strategy.

If a renown ability triggers, but the creature leaves the battlefield before that ability resolves, the creature doesn’t become renowned. Any ability that triggers “whenever a creature becomes renowned” won’t trigger.

Renown won’t trigger when a creature deals combat damage to a planeswalker or another creature. It also won’t trigger when a creature deals noncombat damage to a player.
