The Grand Tour Playtest could be beneficial in a control deck that focuses on disrupting the opponent's board state and hand. However, there are more efficient cards like Cyclonic Rift or Venser, the Sojourner that offer similar effects with less setup required, making them better options for competitive play. While The Grand Tour Playtest has a unique and interesting effect, it may not see much play in high-level Magic: The Gathering decks due to its higher cost and complexity compared to other available options.

If the target permanent is a token, it stops at exile. It doesn’t move to any of the other zones or return to the battlefield. It does not pass Go. It does not collect two hundred mana.

No player may take actions while The Grand Tour is resolving, and any abilities that trigger while the permanent is on tour won’t be put onto the stack until The Grand Tour has finished resolving.
