About Snarl Song

Snarl Song, Sorcery, designed by Josu Hernaiz first released in Apr, 2026 in the set Secrets of Strixhaven.

Snarl Song would fit best in a casual or Commander deck that can reliably produce five colors of mana—especially a Simic-based (green-blue) ramp deck splashing additional colors—since Converge rewards you for spending as many different colors as possible; in a dedicated five-color ramp shell, it can make two sizable Fractals (often 4/4s or 5/5s) and gain a solid chunk of life, which synergizes with +1/+1 counter themes and token strategies. However, at six mana this effect is fairly inefficient compared to stronger alternatives like **Body of Research** (which can create a single massive Fractal for the same cost), **Hornet Queen** (which provides immediate board impact and evasion), **Avenger of Zendikar** (a premier token finisher), or even **Emergent Sequence** and other cheaper counter-based token producers in more focused builds; in most competitive or optimized Commander environments, Snarl Song would likely be outclassed due to its high cost and reliance on perfect mana, so it’s
