This Skywing Aven card would be beneficial in a deck that focuses on card advantage and tempo, such as a blue control or tempo deck. Its ability to return to your hand by discarding a card can be useful for protecting it from removal spells or triggering effects that benefit from discarding cards. However, there are better cards like Spellstutter Sprite which provides a similar effect while also countering a spell with converted mana cost of 1. Overall, Skywing Aven could see play in specific decks that value its abilities, but there are more efficient options available.
