This card would be beneficial in a deck that focuses on mana ramp and color fixing, particularly in a deck that utilizes energy counters synergies. While Servant of the Conduit provides early mana acceleration and color flexibility, there are potentially better options like Llanowar Elves for pure mana ramp or Birds of Paradise for more color fixing. However, Servant of the Conduit could still see play in energy-based decks or decks that require both mana acceleration and color fixing in a single card.

Energy counters aren’t mana. They don’t go away as steps, phases, and turns end, and effects that add mana “of any type” to your mana pool can’t give you energy counters.

Keep careful track of how many energy counters each player has. You may do so by keeping a running count on paper, by using a die, or by any other clear and mutually agreeable method.
