About Rats of Rath
Rats of Rath, Creature — rat, designed by John Matson first released in Oct, 1997 in the set Tempest and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
This card, Rats of Rath, would be beneficial in a deck that focuses on sacrificing your own permanents for strategic advantage, such as a sacrifice or graveyard recursion deck. While it can be useful for removal, the downside of destroying your own permanent can be a significant drawback. There are better cards available for targeted removal without the self-destructive aspect, such as Murder or Vraska's Contempt, making Rats of Rath less desirable for competitive play unless in a very specific deck strategy.
