A deck focused on gaining life consistently, such as a white lifegain deck in Magic: the Gathering, would benefit from using Light of Promise as it can quickly grow a creature to be a significant threat. However, there are better cards like Heliod, Sun-Crowned that provide a similar effect with additional benefits, making them more versatile and powerful choices. Light of Promise could see play in a casual or budget deck, but in competitive settings, it may be outclassed by stronger options.
