Highspire Artisan would be a valuable addition to a green-based midrange or aggro deck in Magic: the Gathering, providing both a solid blocker with reach and the ability to create additional threats with its Fabricate ability. While there may be more powerful cards available, such as Steel Leaf Champion or Llanowar Elves, Highspire Artisan can still be a strong inclusion in a deck looking to establish a board presence and apply pressure early in the game.

If you can’t put +1/+1 counters on the creature for any reason as fabricate resolves (for instance, if it’s no longer on the battlefield), you just create Servo tokens.

You choose whether to put +1/+1 counters on the creature or create Servo tokens as the fabricate ability is resolving. No player may take actions between the time you choose and the time that counters are added or tokens are created.
