This card, Entangling Vines, would be beneficial in a control deck that aims to lock down the opponent's creatures and control the board state. While it can be effective in certain situations, there are better options available such as cards like Imprisoned in the Moon or Song of the Dryads which provide more versatile and permanent removal effects. However, in a limited environment or a budget deck, Entangling Vines could still see play as a budget alternative for creature control.

Entangling Vines can enchant only a creature that’s tapped. If at any time the enchanted creature is untapped, Entangling Vines is put into its owner’s graveyard as a state-based action.
