This card, Ebon Stronghold, would be beneficial in a mono-black control deck that focuses on generating a lot of black mana for powerful spells and abilities. While it enters the battlefield tapped, its ability to tap for {B} and sacrifice for {B}{B} can provide a significant mana advantage in the mid to late game. However, there are better options available such as Cabal Coffers or Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth for more efficient mana generation, so Ebon Stronghold may not see much play in competitive decks.
