Divine Favor would be beneficial in a White Weenie or lifegain deck in Magic: the Gathering, providing a small boost to a creature's power and toughness while also gaining you life. However, there are better options available such as Angelic Gift or Gryff's Boon which offer card draw or flying abilities respectively, making them more versatile choices. Divine Favor could see play in a casual or budget deck, but may not be competitive in more optimized strategies.

If the creature targeted by Divine Favor is an illegal target when Divine Favor tries to resolve, Divine Favor won’t resolve. It won’t enter the battlefield and its enters-the-battlefield ability won’t trigger.
