About Decommission

Decommission, Instant, designed by Josh Hass first released in Jan, 2017 in the set Aether Revolt and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.

This card, Decommission, would be beneficial in a white-based control or midrange deck that focuses on disrupting opponents' strategies by removing key artifacts or enchantments. However, there are other cards like Disenchant or Fragmentize that offer similar effects at a lower mana cost, making them more efficient choices in most situations. While Decommission may have situational use in a deck with revolt triggers, it may not see widespread play due to the availability of more versatile and cost-effective options.

Rules

02/09/17

If Decommission destroys a permanent you control, it will enable its own revolt ability and you’ll gain 3 life.

02/09/17

Revolt abilities check only whether a permanent you controlled left the battlefield this turn or not. They don’t apply multiple times if more than one permanent you controlled left the battlefield. They don’t check whether the permanent that left the battlefield is still in the zone it moved to.

02/09/17

Tokens that leave the battlefield will satisfy a revolt ability.
